We are starting to redo our 7 year old son's room into a galaxy themed room. I wanted to get a new less baby lamp for him that would go with the theme. This lamp is PERFECT for him.PROS:1. The lamp uses a cord rotary switch that is easy for him to turn on and off himself.2. It isn't easily breakable! He is still a 7 year old boy and this is his bedroom and I want him to be able to enjoy his space without worrying about every little thing breaking.3. It looks great in the space. It is fun and he thinks it looks super cool.CON:1. The big con is for the price I didnt like that I had to do some adjusting to get the drum to sit levelSo yeah, I think is just beautiful. I don't know how especially strong it is in terms of quality but it looks great, has no visible flaws I can see. It's black so it works with dark rooms or even in lighter places. I prefer black electronics so it fits right at home there. I really just love the look of these lamps, and the pictures do not give it justice.In terms of how sturdy it is, well it's not glass or ceramic so it's quite light which makes it easy to move but also not too difficult to tip over. It's not that it's unsteady just, well even with the wider base it's something to be careful of though I suspect the shade will be more at risk than the base of the lamp itself.The lamp is labeled as industrial, and it is, but I would say contemporary or a modern aesthetic preference might enjoy it too. I put a smart light in this lovely little piece too, and it just looks great with any color!
